4.0 out of 5 stars Baby hated solids until I tried NuturMe!, May 15, 2011

We started our son on solids when he was six months. The first "food" we introduced was rice cereal as recommended by our pediatrician. We tried every day for 2 weeks to feed my son rice cereal and then oatmeal cereal but he hated both! He'd refuse the food by turning away and keeping his mouth tightly shut. I was at my wits end and gave him a break because I knew I had to be patient. I was never a huge fan of the idea of feeding my son rice cereal so I went searching for something that was convenient and came in small portions. I didn't want to feed my son the traditional baby food from a jar due to the risk of BPA found in the jar lids. Luckily, I found NurturMe! My son loved it from the start. We started with the peas and then worked our way through the apple, squash, and sweet potato.

Here is what I love about NuturMe Baby Food:

CONVENIENCE. The food comes in BPA-FREE paper pouches that are easy to travel with. They contain the same amount of food as a 2.5oz... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, November 14, 2011

I had high expectations based on some reviews, but aside from the apple, these were mostly blech and my baby did not like them. The consistency of the squashes was very pasty, and the peas tasted like powder. I ended up just using them to sneak extra nutrition in other dishes (the squash wasn't bad mixed with mashed potatoes, but I couldn't put in too much or the little guy was on to me!). The apple was actually a really nice consistency, a little bit of texture and tasted quite delicious. I definitely recommend getting the variety pack before launching into a big box of one kind. It's a great idea, but won't work for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mother & Baby Approved, October 1, 2011

Granted, we haven't tried all of the other brands of organic baby foods, but this is certainly a GREAT product, especially for baby's first intro to solids. Each one smells & tastes amazingly fresh & good. Packets can be packed in the diaper bag & reconstituted with water or breast milk/formula to the desired consistency. My grandaughter looks like a baby bird with her mouth open waiting for the next bite. That wasn't the case with Earth's ____ brand that she rejected! She loves all of these, especially the squash. That being said- this isn't inexpensive, so this subscribe & save plan for the variety pack is appreciated. Without that option, we might be searching for another brand- though I'm doubting we would find a better product. Waiting for the expanded 6 pack to be offerred that adds carrots & bananas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Peaches + Bananas, August 23, 2011

I just started buying this product. It is not available in local stores. I went to Target last Sunday and saw these so I decided to gave it a try. My baby happen to love these as much as Happy Baby products. I am surprised to see it here on Amazon. So next time I will buy it from here. It tastes great. My baby loves it. Yeah it is kind of expensive but if your child loves it then I would buy it for the child. They do go on sale too. If you have WIC ( Women , Infant and Children) You can buy these from Target Because only Target carry these here. I am not sure if Amazon accepts WIC. Over all a great product I would recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars yummy but expensive, July 6, 2010

We tried all of Ella's flavors, my 6 month old loved them all. I tasted them too, yummy!! My only complaint is that this product is very expensive. If money isn't an issue for you, I highly recommend this product. If money is an issue and you want organic I recommend Earth's Best or Plum. I've decided to just make my own.

5.0 out of 5 stars My twins love these!, March 7, 2012

I have twin 14 month old girls and they have been eating Ella's Organic fruit/veggie pouches since they were about 4 months old. They LOVE them and they are a great snack to take on the road or outside. While I would prefer for the girls to eat actual fruit and veggies, they are going through a picky stage right now and these pouches are the next best thing. We buy them in bulk and can't keep up with the demand from our girls.

I normally make my own baby food, but when we travel my stuff doesn't hold up very well so I give my baby this and she LOVES it. She hates jarred food and I normally can't get her to eat it. But she will eat this stuff. I have even tasted it myself and it is pretty good.

My twins love apples and carrots, so this was an easy win. Also, much less sweet than all the other flavors (also try Plum Baby's carrot apple). Great for car & stroller snacks. They've been slurping these down since they were 12 months.

3.0 out of 5 stars Really?, November 22, 2010
This review is from: Ella's Kitchen Organic Baby Food Carrots, Apples and Parsnips (4+Months), 3.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 7) (Grocery)
The product is great. I have purchased it in retail specialty stores for $1+ per pouch, and my daughter LOVES them!

However, when I purchased it here I assumed it would be less expensive and maybe I was getting 4 or 6 pouches for $4. Not so much. $4 per pouch is RIDICULOUS!
